1997 Land Rover Defender 90 Convertible with only 25,225 miles. AA Yellow – the best D90 color. This is a one owner Southern California car that has been garaged and well looked after. It was put in service in October of 1997 at Hornburg Land Rover in Los Angeles. It was owned by the dealership until 2001 when it was sold and titled to the first private owner with 13,454 miles. It has been in Santa Monica since then. It has been serviced regularly and is in outstanding condition with no rust and no leaks. The paint is in beautiful condition and the interior is outstanding. As you can see from the photos, there is no rust or corrosion in the usual places. This Defender 90 is well equipped with Air Conditioning (blows cold), factory Clarion premium sound system with CD changer and rear door mounted subwoofer, Warn XD9000i winch integrated into bumper, brush guard, rear light guards, rear bumper with trailer hitch receiver and brake harness, alarm system, two Hella 3000 lights, running boards and diamond plate on the fender tops. Under the driver seat is the original bottle jack (handle included) and chocks along with a recently replaced heavy duty battery. Under the passenger seat is the accessory bag for the winch along with top tools. There is also a receiver for an additional antenna mounted over the rear license plate. The undercarriage was undercoated to protect the vehicle from corrosion. The engine still retains much of the factory original Cosmoline coating from when the vehicle was shipped from Britain. There are three tops – 2 surrey tops in excellent condition and one full soft top with tinted plastic windows in excellent condition - rods and rear bar included. There are 5 brand new BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A tires. All wheels are in excellent condition. The undercarriage has been professionally cleaned and detailed. Owner's Manual, 2 remotes, 2 ignition, 2 valet, 2 gas keys and original key code medallion included.
This Defender is ten years old and there are some imperfections. There are some areas on the roll bar above the doors where a rack mounting has rubbed the coating. There are some extremely minor abrasions on some of the wheels. There is a small ding near the driver’s door handle. The construction of the door prevents paintless dent removal from accessing it. There is another small ding in the rear door behind the spare tire. It is not visible without opening the door and looking when the wheel swings away from the door. The rear subwoofer enclosure is scratched. There are a couple of very minor abrasions on the front brush guard.
This Defender comes with a complete pre-buy inspection from Performance Ltd, a Land Rover specialist in Costa Mesa, CA showing a clean bill of health. They have worked on Land Rovers for decades and know Defenders. Title is clear and in hand. Clean Carfax - guaranteed.
